UI Matriculates 4,649 Students
…VC urges freshers to uphold excellence and integrity The University of Ibadan (UI) has officially welcomed 4,649 newly admitted students into various academic programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session. The matriculation ceremony, held on Wednesday at the International Conference Centre, Ibadan, brought together university officials, parents, and well-wishers to celebrate the students’ formal entry into the institution. Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale, disclosed that 11,912 candidates participated in the university’s post-UTME screening after meeting the minimum 200 UTME score requirement. Out of this number, 7,017 scored 50 per cent and above, with 4,411 gaining admission through UTME and 238 through the Direct Entry route.
