‘We’ll complete all abandoned projects in Osun’ – Gov Adeleke

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has revealed that he is committed to completing the projects he inherited from the previous administrations in the state.

Governor Adeleke gave this commitment at the 67th birthday celebration of former governor Rauf Aregbesola on Saturday.

Represented at the occasion by Teslim Igbalaye, the Secretary to the State Government, Adeleke while commended Aregbesola’s legacy of service held that government is a continuum.

He also disclosed that he has made a conscious decision that Aregbesola’s legacy would not be wiped away on account of political considerations, bitterness and partisan differences.

“On this occasion of your birthday, I am happy to report to you that our government is completing many projects you initiated that were abandoned by your successor. From roads to housing projects, we are building on your legacy of expanding the infrastructural base of Osun State.

“Ogbeni is a political phenomenon, an electoral prodigy with a big mind in the political game.

“We are all assembled to honour a true man of the people, a man who genuinely understands the political game including the imperative of alliances and cross border partnership for achievements of political goals.

“Let me note that Ogbeni, my dear brother, served this state and nation in several capacities. He is a man of tremendous experience, a political leader whose street credibility is only challenged and rivaled by Imole Adulawo in Osun political space.

“As a former Commissioner in Lagos State, you were exceptional. As a former Governor of Osun State, you did your best to build a new Osun state. As a minister, you delivered a lot of initiatives as head of the Interior Ministry. We salute your contributions to national development.

“We adopted the only sane route of government as a continuum. We are convinced that service to the state should be a continuous process of additions and expansion except where modifications are necessary. We can affirm that your legacy remains indelible and sustainable under our administration and beyond, ” Governor Ademola Adeleke said.
