Nollywood Veteran Actor, ‘Agbako’ is dead

  Veteran actor, Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, popularly known as Charles Olumo and Agbako, is dead. A  statement by the president of Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) , Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin on Instagram on Thursday.   He wrote, “#tampanglobal announces the passing of Pa Charles Olumo Sanyaolu, fondly known as AGBAKO. Details of the burial arrangements will be shared at a later time. Good night father, 25/02/1923 to 31/10/2024.”   Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko, also confirmed Agbako’s demise as he wrote: “Good night ooo, Baba Charles. a.k.a Agbako, 101 years, ba wasa ba. R I P.”   Agbako clocked 101st this year.

Osun Gov. Renovates, Inaugurates Six Classrooms

Governor Ademola Adeleke has renovated a block of six classrooms at Odeyinka Grammar School, Odeyinka, in Irewole LGA. 

According to the governor, the Osun government, through the CSDA, totally renovated the dilapidated school building constructed in the year 1980 to make the school more conducive to learning. 

Adeleke said, “We are here today as a government to let you know that your dream has come to reality, adding that this project will go a long way and improve school enrollment of our children and remove negative emotion.”

The governor, represented by the Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Ganiyu Ola Oluwa, stressed that the micro project is a boost to his administration, noting that it will contribute to the development of the ancient village. 

In their separate goodwill messages, the special adviser to the governor on RAMP, Moji Omisore and the special adviser on CSDA, Nurudeen Emiloju, emphasise the present administration’s developmental achievement within the short time in government. 

They urged the project’s beneficiary to improve the maintenance culture so that the project will serve for years to come. 

The General Manager of Osun CSDA, Mrs Funmi Abokede, commended the present administration for the laudable project and the completion of the 43-year-old school.
