Oyo citizens will choose my successor in 2027 - Makinde

  Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has declared that the people of the state will determine who succeeds him in 2027. Makinde made this declaration via a statement issued on Saturday. The statement was made available to journalists through the Special Adviser to the governor on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju. The governor maintained that residents of the state would decide the destiny of the state by choosing his successor. He however said that he will reveal to the citizens the individual he will support to succeed him as governor. MOHBAD: Ibadan Radio Station Bans Naira Marley's Songs

 

A radio broadcast station, Splash FM 105.5 Ibadan, Oyo State, has banned the playing of songs by Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, from airing on the station till further notice.

This follows the criticism surrounding Marley, following the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, popularly known as MohBad.

This was disclosed in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday by one of the presenters at the radio station, Aderonke Adesola.

According to the post, Marley’s songs have been placed on “Not to Be Broadcast” on the radio frequency by the station’s management

The post read, “Good evening team. In view of the sensitive nature around the death of Mohbad and the criminal procedure, the police have commenced, I will urge us all to exercise discretion.

“To this effect, Naira Marley’s songs have become NTBB ( not to be broadcast) on our station till further notice. This is with immediate effect. Thank you
